Jordyn Woods’s birthday gift to KAT was his mother’s car from his childhood ❤️ “During the summer Karl asked me if I could drive any car for a day which one would it be.. I answered and his response was ‘l wouldn't pick anything crazy, I just really loved my mom's car she had when I was a kid.’ So I went on a mission these past months to find the car, shipped it across the country, got it fixed up and was able to surprise him with it today for his 30th!”

Myles Turner on Pacers fans booing him: "It was disheartening, man. It was frustrating. You know you give 10 years of your life. Your blood, your sweat, your tears. You take pay cuts. You survive trade rumors. You try to do everything the right way and sometimes that stuff shakes out. It's cool. I take it on the chin. I think a lot of people will say that I said things, but I think a lot of people want to formulate their own narratives and spin it to whatever they want it to be. It is what it is, man. You take it on the chin and you move on." Giannis on Turner: "To be able to come here in Indiana, for their all-time leading block leader to be booed, for sure it kinda hurt. But we are here to pick him up, tell him how much we love him and respect him and we understand how much he gave for Indiana, and how much he is willing to give to Milwaukee. He's a great, great person. Great character, great competitor. He gave everything he had - blood, sweat, tears, his body - many times on the line for them. So anybody that was booing him today, just think about yourself. Put yourself in that position and you're in a job for 10 years and you decide to make a move for your family, for yourself, because you have different goals, different aspirations for life. And then you go back, and your coworkers and your boss is yelling at you and booing you. You are like, 'What the hell?' I know it's sport, I understand. But, It is bigger than sport. I don't think he's going to say it but he’s gonna go back home and he’s gonna be like, ‘OK, 10 years just went down the drain.’ And that’s not fair for anybody that gave 10 years to the game and 10 years to the Pacers. All the booing and all that, it was just me trying to show camaraderie, encouragement to my teammate, which if you really think about it, four, five months ago, he was blocking my shot, pushing me on the floor. I'm here, I'm not booing him. I don't hate him. It's complete opposite. I respected him when I played against him and now that he's my teammate, it's a lot of love towards him."

Even Kevin Durant had to laugh at this response to KD saying his Mom made him do 200 push-ups at the age of 8 🤣 KD on his NBA Draft Combine experience: “I remember it like it was yesterday. All the strength coaches were laughing at me and shit. They were giggling with each other that I couldn’t lift 185 pounds, and I was like, ‘All right, keep laughing. Keep laughing.’ It was a funny thing, because I was the only one that couldn’t lift it and I was struggling to lift it. I was embarrassed at that point, but I’m like, ‘Give me a basketball, please. Give me a ball.'”

Carmelo Anthony mentions his father during his Hall of Fame speech: "To my father, Carmelo Iriate. You left this world too soon. But you never left me. Your name is my name, your spirit walks with me and every step I take. You were a poet, an activist, a fighter... Though I didn't get to grow with you, I grew because of you."

The Redeem Team in the Hall of Fame 🇺🇸 LeBron on Kobe: "The missing link that we needed in order to regain the dominance...he made us lock in. We knew once he joined and he was gonna be committed that we couldn't be doing nothing half ass."

Caitlin Clark announced that she will not be returning this WNBA season. "I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season. I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there, disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling. I want to thank everyone who had my back through all the uncertainty. This has been incredibly frustrating, but even in the bad, there is good. The way the fans continued to show up for me, and for the Fever, brought me so much joy and important perspective. I am so proud of how this team has only gotten stronger through adversity this year. Now it’s time to close out the season and claim our spot in the Playoffs🖤"

From Tyrese Haliburton: “Man. Don’t know how to explain it other than shock. Words cannot express the pain of this letdown. The frustration is unfathomable. I’ve worked my whole life to get to this moment and this is how it ends? Makes no sense. Now that I’ve gotten surgery, I wish I could count the number of times people will tell me I’m going to “come back stronger”. What a cliche lol, this shit sucks. My foot feels like dead weight fam. But what’s hurting most I think is my mind. Feel like I’m rambling, but I know this is something I’ll look back on when I’m through this, as something I’m proud I fought through. It feels good to let this shit out without y’all seeing the kid ugly cry. At 25, I’ve already learned that God never gives us more than we can handle. I know I’ll come out on the other side of this a better man and a better player. And honestly, right now, torn Achilles and all, I don’t regret it. I’d do it again, and again after that, to fight for this city and my brothers. For the chance to do something special. Indy, I’m sorry. If any fan base doesn’t deserve this, it’s y’all. But together we are going to fight like hell to get back to this very spot, and get over this hurdle. I don’t doubt for a second that y’all have my back, and I hope you guys know that I have yours. I think Kobe said it best when in this same situation. “There are far greater issues/challenges in the world then a torn achilles. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, find the silver lining and get to work with the same belief, same drive and same conviction as ever.” And that’s exactly right. I will do everything in my power to get back right. My journey to get to where I am today wasn’t by happenstance, I’ve pushed myself every day to be great. And I will continue to do just that. The most important part of this all, is that I’m grateful. I’m grateful for every single experience that’s led me here. I’m grateful for all the love from the hoop world. I don’t “have to” go through this, I get to go through this. I’m grateful for the road that lies ahead. Watch how I come back from this. So, give me some time, I’ll dust myself off and get right back to being the best version of Tyrese Haliburton. -0 Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."

LeBron on Ring Culture: "I don't know why it's discussed so much in our sport and why it's the end-all, be-all of everything. You tell me Iverson, Barkley, Nash weren't f**** unbelievable? They can't be talked about with these guys because they won rings? It's like saying Peyton Manning can't be in the same room as Brady or Mahomes because he only has 1 ring. Or telling me Dan Marino isn't the greatest slinger of all time. Barry Bonds never won a World Series, and you can't sit here and tell me that he's not the greatest baseball player to ever touch a bat. Jerry West went to the NBA Finals 9 straight times and was only able to win 1. And he's the logo of the league. He can't sit here and tell me because he won one that he can't be in the same room with the guy who won 2 or 3 or 4. Why not? He's our logo!"

Sophie Cunningham's IG Story after getting ejected in tonight's wild Fever-Sun game Fever head coach Stephanie White: "I think it was pretty obvious that stuff was brewing. When the officials don't get control of the ball game, when they allow that stuff to happen. It's been happening all season long. This is what happens. You got competitive women, who are the best in the world at what they do. When you allow them to play physical and these things to happen, they are going to compete. And they are going to have their teammates backs. It's exactly what you expect out of fierce competition. I started talking to the officials in the first quarter. And we knew this was going to happen. They got to get control of it. They got to be better."

12 YEARS AGO TODAY Rebound Bosh Back out to Allen His three-pointer BAAAANNNG!!! Ray Allen's historic three saved the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals! Some also remember this game as "LeBron's Headband Game." After losing his headband in the 4th quarter, LeBron put up 12 PTS, 3 REB, 2 AST, 1 BLK (on Duncan), and 1 STL. He finished with 32/11/10. Also worth remembering is Kawhi Leonard had a chance to give the Spurs a 4-point lead right before Allen's three, but he missed 1 of 2 free throws.
